NYIG2026 New York State Championship
Join us April 11–12, 2026 at the New York Institute of Go in Midtown Manhattan for the 4th NY State Championships, featuring a top prize of $1,200. Open to players of all levels, this two-day tournament brings fierce competition and great community energy to the heart of Hell's Kitchen.
Players can compete for cash prizes and trophies across a wide range of divisions—from double-digit kyu all the way to the Open Division. Winners of both the Open and Youth state championships will receive specially designed champion trophies.
This weekend features four connected events:

- Fun Evening Activities
Capacity is limited to 120 seats, so early registration is strongly encouraged. After the rounds, stick around for relaxed evening activities like Pair Go and self-rated games, plus plenty of time to enjoy the neighborhood’s legendary food scene.
