Path to Pro: Pre-Tournament Training

Instructor: Ryan Li; Invited World Champion or National Professional A-League Main Player: TBA

Location: both online (zoom) and on-site (NYIG Little Neck Location)

Time: 3-week training, 6/28 - 7/16, Mon - Fri, 1:30-4:30pm EDT 

Train for upcoming tournaments in an intensive three-week class. Practice reading by examining midgame situations and solving tsumego problems. Pro games and student’s games are reviewed. Learn and analyze modern shapes and variations adopted in recent top-tier tournaments. Per week, play one or two teaching games with the instructor. Prepare for practical aspects of tournament play in the building mentality sessions.

This course may be extended after July 25, contingent upon the finalized date of the AGA pro qualification.

 

Prerequisites: 1d and up. 3-1k players can participate with special permission from the instructor.

Registration: 

$1200/session. $50 registration and material fee can be waived if you enroll before June 1. If you are taking online classes, we will mail the textbook to you (shipping included).
