A Letter from the Organizers

Welcome the 7th “Ing Cup” World Collegiate Weiqi Invitational Tournament, organized by the New York Institute of Go and sponsored by the Ing Foundation! The tournament will be held on Saturday, November 26, 2022 at the New York Institute of Go in Manhattan, NY. Due to travel restrictions, the 7th world collegiate invitational tournament will be held online. It is an 8-player duel match between the US team and China team.

For over seven years, we have worked to create a world where opportunity is universal, and potential is limitless. With an unwavering commitment to impact an entire generation of Go players, our mission is to empower students to pursue their passions through education. We are pioneers in positive youth development, encouraging self-advocacy skills in young people. Our programs foster a growth mindset, instilling in students the strength and skills to persevere and define their own paths. Our goal in collaborating this tournament is to promote Go outreach, activity, and interest among players within communities of the North American universities and education.
